When the one you want says, "No", where do you go? When his lips smile but not his eyes, don't you cry. Steady your heart and know it's gonna take a little time. (Time) When your hands brush, butterflies---a glow inside, And his golden laugh makes you soar...you want him more. Falling so fast...let it take a little time. (Time) Woah, let it take a little time, let it take a little time. Woah, let it take a little time. (Time) Hooo, it's gonna take some time, Baby. Hooo, oh yeah, a little time... Time. Woah, let it take a little time, let it take a little time. Woah, let it take a little time. (Time) Hooo... When the one you want says, "No", where do you go?

Crawl 03:50
I'm a mess, I'm a wreck, Baby---and that's on a good day. I am tired, I get stressed--- Come here, distract me. With your sparkling eyes and that toxic grin, fingers intertwine and you draw me in... Crawl into bed with me, I'll put my head on your shoulder. Crawl into bed with me, and in these sheets, Babe, we'll smolder. Mmm, mmm hmm. Mmmm, mmm. Ooo, ooo. Oooo... Any day of my week, Honey, you can come over, and lay those hands on me, and strip your shirt off---get closer. I'll trace my fingers down your spine, ohhh, and in this moment you are totally mine. Crawl into bed with me, I'll put my head on your shoulder, Crawl into bed with me, and in these sheets, Babe, we'll smolder. Mmm, mmm hmm. Mmmm, mmm. Ooo, ooo. Oooo... Your scent lingers all around me... It seeps into my clothes, my hair, my everywhere. I can't get enough of you to satisfy this hunger that you've brought into my life. Crawl into bed with me, and put your head on my shoulder, Crawl into bed with me, and in these sheets, Babe, we'll smolder...

Decide 03:52
Locks of golden hair, eyes in shades of blue. Close my eyes, I breathe---and all I see is You. I spend my days lost in this state... I don't know what to do. (So) Tell me how we got here and how my heart is going to choose one of you now? The balance hangs so thinly and I don't know how I'm supposed to decide. A month has passed; healing's going well. Some other men on my radar now. They cloud my days; thoughts---endless haze... But they'll never break Your spell. (So) Tell me how we got here and how my heart is going to choose one of you now? The balance hangs so thinly and I don't know how I'm supposed to decide. I need to decide, decide, ooo And I can't decide, decide, ohh Won't you help me, decide, decide? Ah: I'll never decide, decide.

For You 03:46
*Six years was a long time to battle with a heart. *We'd grown, feelings altered--- and he'd hold me in his arms. And I know now my heart's desire, what I've heard it whisper to be true: Of all my hungers in this world, I yearn the most For You. For You, oh, For You. (For You) And I'll take you now, as we both are. There is nothing else I want. Hand in hand, our hearts intertwined--- you've had me from the start. And I know now my heart's desire, what I've heard it whisper to be true: Of all my hungers in this world, I yearn the most For You. For You, oh, For You. (For You) And I know now my heart's desire, what I've heard it whisper to be true: Of all my hungers in this world, I yearn the most For You. For You, oh, For You. (For You) *Old edits, altered for album recording at the time--- Correct/ current lyrics: Six years is a long time to battle with a heart. We've grown, feelings alter---now you hold me in your arms.

about

This EP was recorded & mastered back in 2016, "One-Take-Wonder", Me & My Guitar style in a day, and was set to release then... but like any (flawed) thing, you take a second listen or one moment to reconsider, and all of your demons pour out & scream "you suck!" and you're done for. We're only human after all...

This album has been LONG overdue, and it's a true shame that something like the Corona Virus & Social Distancing is what it takes for me to suck it up and put this out for someone, anyone to hear and give some $ if they feel so inclined.
But here we are, and all things happen for "a reason" and "season", yeah?

This album isn't perfect, and I think that despite my own-worst-critic heart & mind, that's always been the whole point that I just needed to realize and accept... I was 21 - 22yrs old when all of this was done, made, and written... I had a heartbreak that consumed me, and the whole world before me. Life was so different then, and I think this album properly reflects that. I sound & sing younger, and it's a real treat to be able to hear a song grow... Whether you know me & my music and journey or not: I humbly invite you to hear how it all started.

To Jessie (Jet) Sarah Saltzman Moore & Ryan Moore, who are the very reasons why this EP is even in existence: for their patience, producing, gentle & forceful pushes, and true, pure belief in me--- "THANK YOU" is not, and won't ever be enough. Ryan, you did a great job and I'm sorry I couldn't escape my own head and that it's taken so DANG long to release this thing. Truly a "it's not you, it's me", moment. SO SORRY. Jessie, you can light a fire under my butt any day, dearest--- thank you for always keeping me on track. I am so grateful to you both, and it's a debt I am eager to repay when I can.

To My Mom, I know "this isn't your thing" and it doesn't "give you chills" when I sing in this style specifically...but thanks for listening anyway. I've had my whole life to sing show tunes...still do, still will. This is just multitasking/ multi-talent-ness at its finest. I'll get you some Carole King and James Taylor covers soon, don't you fret. I love you.

To My Papi, thank you for always pushing me harder, and thank you for bringing home that nylon string guitar from your studio when I asked you to when I was in the 7th grade. Thank you for the passion and drive. Thank you for the Ibanez I used to record this album. The story of how we got it is one of my favorites to tell. I promise I'm using her well---she's my Baby, and I play her a lot better now than I do on this album, bahaha!! I will earn that Gibson you're hiding from me just yet, I promise. The Musician torch is one I am so happy and humbled to carry from and with you. It's an honor to be your daughter. I love you.

I hope you all enjoy, and I thank you with my whole being for taking a listen or any interest at all. These are trying times, and I'm endlessly thankful for any moment of attention or care you give me & my music.
Let a Young Mari take you on her journey now. She invites you to relate or at least FEEL something. Stay well, happy, healthy, and golden. May love, light, & laughter find & guide you, always.
